Privacy policy
The short version: you can use this entire site without telling us anything. We only get your details if you fill in a form asking us to contact you, and we never sell them.

Browsing
What we collect when you just look around
Nothing that identifies you. There is no tracking pixel, no advertising network, no third-party analytics script and no cookie banner, because there are no cookies to consent to.
Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs — IP address, page requested, timestamp, browser user agent — for a short period, for security and to keep the service running. That is ordinary infrastructure logging, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.
The ZIP code search sends what you type to our own server so we can look it up. It is not stored and not sent anywhere else.
Forms
What we collect if you ask us to contact you
Two pages have forms. Both are optional, and everything else on the site works without them.
Find me internet collects your name, email, phone, the ZIP code or city you are asking about, and whatever you tell us about your household and what you need. We use it to answer your request. If — and only if — you ask us to put you in touch with a provider, we pass your name and contact details to that specific provider so they can call you.
List your ISP collects your company name, your name, email, phone, website and the coverage and service details you send. We use it to verify your coverage and publish your listing. Business contact details you give us here may appear on your public listing; personal ones do not.
We do not sell your details, we do not rent them, and we do not add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.
Third parties
Who else touches your data
Vercel hosts the site and processes every request, including form submissions in transit.
Internet providers receive your contact details only when you have asked to be put in touch with one. We tell you which provider before that happens. Once they have your details, their own privacy policy governs what they do with them.
That is the complete list. There is no data broker, no ad network and no analytics vendor in the chain.
Your rights
Getting your data back, or deleted
Email alex@bestinternet.us and ask. You can request a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will action it within 30 days and we will not charge you or make you jump through hoops.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA give you those rights explicitly, plus the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it, so there is nothing to opt out of — but the right to ask, and the right not to be treated differently for asking, still stand.
We keep form submissions for as long as it takes to answer you and for a reasonable period afterwards for our own records. Ask us to delete yours and we will.
Everything else
Children, changes and contact
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
If we change this policy we will change the date at the top. If the change is significant we will say so on the page rather than hoping you do not notice.
